The Most Expensive Super Cars Of 2018

Aston Martin Valkyrie: $3.2 million

This is an aerodynamic sportscar with a 6.5 litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine. It has a 1:1 power/weight ratio and is fitted with a Rimac-built battery system, which generates 1130 bhp. 150 models will be released in 2018, with 25 track-only editions to follow. It is constructed around a carbon fibre chassis with integrated elements such as Venturi tunnels, helping to reduce downforce and drag, making the car more streamlined.

Lykan Hypersport: $3.4 million

This Lebanese supercar had a starring role in Fast & Furious 7, grabbing the attention of automotive aficionados as it crashed through the Dubai skyline. It stands out from the crowd because of its bling-tastic styling, such as customizable diamond-encrusted headlights with LED blades. The scissor doors make it look very special and the futuristic interior would not look out of place in Blade Runner. Its twin-turbo 3.7 litre engine produces 780 hp and 780 torque. It accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds, with a startling top speed of 240 mph.

McLaren P1 LM: $3.6 million

This street-legal version of the track-only McLaren P1 GTR is not on general release. Its modified rear wing and enlarged splitter join forces with the dive planes to increase downforce by 40%. It has a 3.8 litre twin-turbo V8 engine and produces 1000 hp. Only five units have been built and they have sold out.

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster: $4.5 million

Veneno, which is Spanish for venom, was built to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. The model lives up to its name as it takes a bite out of its rivals. It has a 6.5 litre V12 engine, yields 740 hp and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds. Only nine vehicles were produced, so it now trades hands at unbelievable prices.

Rolls Royce Sweptail: $13 million

The daddy of them all is this made-to-measure supercar for one lucky buyer, hence the astronomical price tag. Its design is inspired by classic Rolls Royce models and super yachts. This exclusive two-seater has a panoramic sunroof and a hand-crafted wood and leather interior. Its mysterious owner is thought to be a collector of super yachts and private planes.
